Accessibility
At Fake Festivals, we believe our events should be accessible for everyone to enjoy. It really is one big party!
Since 2024, we have partnered with Nimbus Disability who are a leading UK charity on assessable ticketing. We use their Access Card Scheme to validate requests for our Accessibility and Essential Companion passes. Not only does their service enable us to clearly understand our customers access needs, but also ensures that our allocation of these passes is protected for those that need these to attend our events safely and comfortably.
What support do we provide?
Essential Companion
Essential Companion passes are for those whose disability would mean that they are unable to attend the event without the help of a personal assistant, or carer (a companion).
What it provides
This pass allows the companion(s) to enter the event free of charge to assist the cared for person throughout the event.
Validation requirements
We will accept the following symbols on your Fake Festivals Digital Access Pass or Access Card as validation of this requirement.
- +1 Essential Companions - People for whom it would be significantly difficult to access services without support from one person.
- +2 Essential Companions - People for whom it would be significantly difficult to access services without support from two people.
How to get it
This pass is an Accessibility feature that can only be booked with an event ticket purchase, either Adult or Young. If a ticket holder requires one companion, then you should book one Essential Companion pass. Book two passes if the ticket holder requires two companions.
A limited allocation is available at each event, first-come, first-served. Once the allocation has been depleted, no more passes will be issued and the selection will be marked as 'Sold Out'.
Other information
This pass is linked to, and can only be used alongside, a paid ticket used by the cared for person. It is standard practice in the events industry to require a paid ticket to use an Essential Companion pass.
Children 0-9yrs that are accompanied by a paid adult do not require a paid ticket for entry, so are not eligible for an Essential Companion pass. In this circumstance, we advise that you purchase a Young ticket for the child, so that you can obtain an Essential Companion pass with it. This is the most cost-effective entry for a child that requires an Essential Companion, and a combination that we will accept in this circumstance.
An Essential Companion must be an able-bodied person aged 16yrs or over, and they must assist and carry out full and safe 'duty of care' for the cared for person, at all times. The Essential Companion and the cared for person cannot enter the event separately and must stay within reasonable proximity of each other at all times. If it is felt that this position is compromised (eg. intoxication), it could lead to relevant parties being asked to leave the event. Both the Essential Companion and the cared for person should be aware of this statement.

Accessible Camping
Accessible Camping passes are for those whose disability requires them to camp close to facilities such as accessible toilets and showers.
What it provides
A single pass grants you and your group access to our managed Accessible Campsite. You are welcome to bring a reasonably sized group of friends to camp with you, on the same pass. The campsite accommodates a mix of tents and Camping Vehicles, although a separate ticket is required for each Camping Vehicle, as is usual. While the Accessible Campsite offers a limited number of electricity hook-ups, availability is not guaranteed.
