Security Jobs at Fake Festivals
At Fake Festivals, the safety and security of our customers, crew and the staff working at the events, is an absolute priority. Together with our chosen security provider (C&E Global), we work hard to maintain our reputation for a warm and family friendly atmosphere.
To work on the security team you must hold a current SIA badge, have registered a profile with us and had it approved. Work is provided and paid for by our security provider (C&E Global). Jobs may be offered and administered by Fake Festivals, on behalf of our security provider (C&E Global).
Register to work
The registration process is undertaken in Facebook Messenger and is handled by Fakebot, our friendly Fake Festivals robot. During the process you will be asked for contact details and personal profile information, such as date-of-birth. We will also ask for your SIA badge number and you can provide your Tax UTR code if you wish to.
If your profile is suitable for us, we will send you an approval notification through Messenger and you can then tell us which festival events you would like to work. We'll also let you know if your profile is not what we are looking for.
Where and when
Once you have accepted a job offer, we will send you reminders through Messenger at 27 days, 10 days and 1 day before the event. The reminders will contain full details, but the event locations can be found on event webpages. You are required to start your work shift 30mins before the start time of the event, for an induction of C&E Global and Fake Festival procedures. Your work shift will end 15mins after the event end time.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security during a Fake Festival of customers, team members, bands and equipment. Your role will be to ensure that all of Fake Festivals guidelines regarding entry, ID, searching, responsible drinking and zero tolerance to drugs and anti social behaviour are met whilst maintaining a calm and friendly atmosphere. You will work as part of the security team managed on the day by a 'C&E Global' head of security and along side the Fake Festivals team.
An induction will be given on the day regarding policies and procedures.
Pay details will be provided per job offer (for each event) that we send to you. You will be able to accept or decline each job. Any enquiries regarding pay should be directed to 'C&E Global, please do not approach the Fake Festivals team regarding payment.
Jobs may be undertaken on a self-employment (a contract will be arranged) or a PAYE basis where National Insurance and Tax is deducted.
What to bring
Please remember to bring your SIA badge as we will not allow you to work without it. Bring something warm, depending on weather. T-shirts and Hi-Viz will be supplied at the event. Dress code is black trousers or combats, black shoes or boots.
There is food on site, but this is at your own cost. Please bring your own food. Breaks will be discussed on day of event.
